Indigo Lotus Buddhism Group You don’t have to be a Buddhist to join the Indigo Lotus Buddhism Group. Our two hour Sunday gatherings focus on Mahayana Buddhism, giving us a chance to share insightful ideas regarding advancing our goal of compassion, peace and enlightenment. We do not have a guru or priest but we will learn much through writings and media from teachers such as The Dalai Lama, Robert Thurman, Thich Nhat Hanh and more. Although the group is held in a private home in Temecula and moderated by practicing Buddhist, Jenny Wright, the Indigo Lotus Buddhism group is a democratic community. We do not give “sermons” but share teachings we may have gathered over our lifetimes. We use enlightenment tools such as study of the Sutras, Mindfulness (quiet) Meditation, Chanting, Sound and Guided meditation. We will be taking field trips to Buddhist temples in the area. The group also focuses on community and service so we will be involved in projects where we will be helping others. We meet in a private home at 31511 Loma Linda Rd.in Temecula every Sunday evening at 7:00 P.M. This may be silent or meditation to music. We will give information on the life of The Buddha. We discuss other Buddhist topics, such as The Four Noble Truths, The Eight Fold Path as well as in-depth study of the Buddhist Sutras. Books will be suggested to be read on one’s own time. There is a weekly topic of interest however participants are free to ask questions and make comments at anytime. There is nothing off limits as long as it is constructive. We discuss community assistance projects at this time. We close each session with a five minute meditation. Private Reiki One And Two Classes Reiki is a hands-on technique using the principles of acupressure and energy healing. Much is based on your intention to help others heal. Become a Reiki practitioner after these intensive classes. Group classes are on the first Sunday of each month, and are a wonderful way to meet other dedicated healing people in the area. You will not only learn Reiki but will be certified to practice! Reiki 3 or Master/Teacher Class Pre-requisites: Usui Reiki One and Two Certificates You MUST have practiced for at least 6 months as a practitioner The Usui Reiki Master or Master/Teacher course is the final practitioner training level in the Usui Reiki System of Natural Healing. You will receive the Usui Reiki Master Attunement which not only opens all your energy centers to a higher degree, but you will also receive and learn to use the Reiki Master Symbol. You will learn to pass attunements to others and will receive guidance and tips on how to teach a student or a class. Upon completion, you are also bestowed with not only your certificate but also your copy of your Usui Reiki Master lineage. A Reiki lineage is a list of Reiki Masters (teachers) starting with the person that taught you Reiki and then going back, teacher by teacher, to the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui. So all Reiki people should be able to trace their Reiki “family tree” showing that their teacher was taught by this person, and they were taught by that person, and they were taught by this person, leading all the way back, in an unbroken line, to the founder of Reiki.
